The experience

Boarding from our private jetty. After a safety & regulation briefing, a short run takes us to selected areas (seagrass, drop-offs, rocky ledges). Gradual entry, technique adapted (stalking, aspetto) to level and conditions. Quiet ride back, re-hydration, and optional culinary preparation of compliant fish.

Sample itinerary

  1. Welcome, permit/insurance & gear check

  2. Briefing: zones, species, legal sizes, hand signals, buddy rules

  3. Transit & tide/visibility windowing

  4. Guided apnea sequences (measured pace, hydration breaks)

  5. On-board sorting (no-take species released)

  6. Return to jetty • Optional “catch & cook” at dinner

Gear & safety

  • Bring: cased speargun(s), shafts/mono/bands, appropriate suit, weights, float/flag, knife, personal kit

  • On board: skipper, comms, first-aid kit, drinking water & towels

  • Supervision: surface watch, buddying, depth within limits, immediate stop if fatigue, cold or abnormal current

  • Note: we do not supply weapons where legislation restricts it; no activity outside the legal framework

Season & conditions

Visibility and swell vary with wind and tides. We pick the best window the day before: dawn or tide-based slots to fit goals and level.

Ethics & regulations

  • No capture of protected species • Legal sizes checked

  • Quotas & closed seasons strictly observed

  • Zero waste: fish destined for the table when allowed, or released if non-compliant
